PartnerVault is Now Available to All Customers

PartnerVault, Upic Solutions’ secure partner portal, is now available to all customers. It brings the documents we deliver to you, your organization’s profile, and your Relationship Manager’s contact details into one encrypted, access-controlled place. Partner Admins can manage who has access and which documents each person sees. More features are rolling out in Beta.

Get started: If you’re an authorized contact for your organization, your account is already set up. Sign in at partnervault.upicsolutions.org with your email address and the one-time code we send you. No password needed. See the PartnerVault Partner Guide for details, or contact the Answer Center if you have trouble signing in.

Hosting Customers: Server Upgrades Begin in January

Beginning the second week of January 2027, we’ll upgrade hosted File Servers and Session Hosts. This work will cause an outage. We’ll send the full schedule and details before the project begins.

Coming in Q1 2027: Support Tool Upgrades

Ticketing: Zendesk to Halo

We’re moving our ticketing system from Zendesk to Halo. Keep submitting requests the way you do now. We’ll send the go-live date ahead of time and work closely with you to ensure your organization doesn’t experience any outages or disruptions.

Remote Monitoring & Management: ConnectWise Automate to NinjaOne

We’re replacing ConnectWise Automate (formerly LabTech) with NinjaOne, the tool we use to monitor, patch, and support your devices. As part of the move, we’ll replace the management software on your computers and servers. Rest assured, we plan to contact you before work starts to schedule it and coordinate anything we need from your team.

What you’ll see: A new Upic Solutions icon, a “U” in a circle, will appear in the system tray near the clock (bottom-right of the screen). If you don’t see it, click the small up arrow (^) to show hidden icons. This is our new support tool, so please don’t remove or block it.

Microsoft Sign-In Changes: Get Ready for Passkeys

Microsoft is making passkeys, a faster and more phishing-resistant way to sign in, the default for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID. It is also retiring its own text message (SMS) and phone call verification codes.

DateWhat changes
February 1, 2027Microsoft stops sending SMS and voice codes for most users. Anyone whose only verification method is SMS or voice must register a passkey to sign in, and this step can’t be skipped.
July 1, 2027The same change applies to Global Administrators and external users.

What your users should do: Most users are already seeing prompts to set up a passkey when they sign in. We recommend completing setup now rather than waiting for the deadline. These Microsoft guides can help:

For IT administrators: Microsoft’s admin guide explains how to find affected users, turn on passkeys, run a registration campaign, and choose a third-party SMS provider if you have a business need for one: Passkeys by default and retirement of Microsoft-provided SMS and voice authentication.
