We completed our first ever virtual Upic Week! For most of the team this was also our first virtual conference. While we missed seeing each other in-person, putting  the health and safety of our team first will always be my guiding light.

Thank you to the Upic Engagement Committee who planned an amazing event full of learning, engagement, and even a virtual escape room!

Upic Week is an important event that I started 4 years ago to bring the team together, celebrate our year and set the direction for the next year. FY20 was unprecedented in so many ways, but despite the challenges it also provided a lot to celebrate. We increased our market share and now serve over 600 United Ways! Our processing services are exploding and help United Ways start their journey to becoming a modern United Way.

When COVID-19 hit and a new norm was born, our team did not miss a beat helping our local United Ways transition seamless to working from home while their offices were closed. Many of our United Ways had never worked from home. We successfully helped them transition with minimal interruption.

The vision of our founding United Ways was brought into full focus and their vision to build a virtual office paid huge dividends, allowing our partners to stay safe working from home while continuing to serve their communities in a time of unprecedented need.

Our team also stepped up to partner with United Way Suncoast and create a Virtual VITA program. This program received IRS approval, and allowed our partners to continue providing critical services to their communities.

I look forward to FY21 and I know our team at Upic is ready to handle whatever curve-balls lie ahead.

Sincerely,

J.R. Howard, CEO
